The McKenna Family of Monaghan Take on Ireland’s Fittest Family with Andrew Trimble!

Excitement is building here at GoSolar as the McKenna family from Monaghan prepares to compete on this year’s Ireland’s Fittest Family on RTÉ. We are thrilled to support the McKenna’s 100% as they take on some of the country’s most challenging and exhilarating physical tests.

Representing Monaghan, the McKenna’s are more than just a sporting family, they are a powerhouse of determination, teamwork, and community spirit. Leading the team is Sharon McKenna, mother of four and Agri and Commercial Solar Consultant here at GoSolar in Monaghan. Sharon brings incredible energy, focus, and competitive drive to everything she does.

Joining her are her sons, Caolán and Cormac, who also work with GoSolar as an electrician and apprentice electrician, respectively. But their skills go far beyond their day jobs, both are accomplished athletes, excelling in GAA, clay pigeon shooting, and other sports that demand precision and determination.

Completing the team is Cailín, Sharon’s daughter, whose enthusiasm and positivity make her the heartbeat of the family. Balancing school, part-time work, boxing, and GAA, Cailín proves she can match her brothers and mother in energy, endurance, and drive.

Guided by Irish rugby legend Andrew Trimble, the McKenna’s will face a series of demanding physical and mental challenges designed to test every ounce of their strength, skill, and family synergy. From intense obstacle courses to strategy-heavy endurance challenges, the show promises to push the McKenna family to their limits, and we couldn’t be prouder to support them.
